Baboo Village is located in the middle of the lagoon arm separating Sainte Marie Island from Island of "Nattes" with a beautiful Panorama on the two coral reefs and the channel of Sainte Marie on the west side, where the whales find a protecting bay.

A pure ecotouristical concept with respect to the environment, its local population and their customs. Built entirely with local material, Baboo village is in harmony with the nature. The Hotel is right on the water line, just like a tropical garden growing into the ocean.

With a 3-meter water depth, which is rather exceptional in lagoons, swimming right at the hotel is a possibility, and them most beautiful swimming and snorkeling spot is just 200 meters away in Sainte Marie channel.

ACCOMMODATION

All of our 14 bungalows have a 25-sqm main room with a double bed (protected by a mosquito net), an angle lounge that can bed one extra person and a child, a 6-sqm bathroom (shower, basin and toilet). There is a bathroom with shower and toilets. The rows of bungalows have a view on the sea; beyond the third row, bungalows are also nice and ever quieter… With 8 months of summer and a 4-months very mild austral winter, local weather conditions are such that we spared our nice- looking bathrooms the nuisance of water-heaters, preferring instead the warmth of human contact. At your demand, the staff will bring you hot water, day or night.

CATERING

On purpose, we have made the kitchen open to our clients. In all simplicity, our chef Christian and his team will accommodate your every need. Traditionally prepared recipes will turn all fresh products into delicious meals: seafood, marinated fish and meat, grills, etc…We also propose Malagasy specialities on demand and some Asiatic inspirited meals.

ACTIVITIES & LEISURES:

Lalaina and Désiré come from Ambositra, Madagascar’s best know place for wood carving. They have decorated the hotel and their wonderful craft is now on display at the boutique. It is fascinating to watch them work!
A former student of Helga’s well-known lab Bio Aroma in Antananarivo, Jennifer receives on appointment, whether you are staying at the hotel on not. Relaxing massages, hair removal, facial care, all will be provided with the professional label of Bio Aroma.
Whale Safaris are organized between the 1st of July and the 30th of September.
